Open network files not displayed in Net Watcher due to refresh interval.

Cause:


Shared files in use by a client are not immediately displayed in the NetWatcher list of open files. NetWatcher refreshes the list of open files at 60-second intervals, resulting in a delay before open shared files appear in the list.

Solution:


To refresh the list of open shared files in Net Watcher, select the 'View' menu and select 'Refresh'.
TIP: You can also press F5 to refresh the list of open shared files.
NOTE: Use caution with programs that do not hold files open when modifying them; they do not enforce exclusive access.
